family portrait

as most of you know by now, we had a little photo session this fall, and sent out some pretty awesome christmas cards! what can i say, santa didn't bring me any modesty this year...

some of you extra special blog readers received extra special christmas gifts this year. if it hasn't arrived yet, it will, i promise (dad/anne, great grandma nyna/great grandpa jim--i'm talking to you).

you other blog readers are no less loved, but i can't afford to furnish all of your homes with such beautiful artwork...so i'm giving you all the option to view and purchase your very own graham colenso family picture!

here is a link to view all of the photos, and to order any of them you would like: www.pictage.com/589439

please let me know if you are blocked from viewing this page. i may have to enter in your email address on the release page...just let me know if i need to!

our photographer is here in seattle, her name is rebecca, and she's awesome. here is her info: http://www.rebeccadouglas.com/home.html

trip to the locks today

we went to the locks, in ballard, today. it was a little windy, and a bit chilly...but good to be out of the house and not trekking through a bunch of snow. in fact, the snow has melted, and we are back to a normal seattle winter now. yay!

Jack's First Christmas

Well, Santa Claus was very good to everyone here,  especially the boy...we had a lovely time opening presents and playing with all the paper and boxes and ribbons and bows...

we love and miss everybody...merry christmas!

baby in a box

jack and Grandpa T

new rocking chair, and new packer hat!

we've gotten a little stir crazy in the house, so we've let jack open a couple of his presents...his first was his new rocking chair, which he needs to grow into a little, but loves it already.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

it finally stop snowing sunday night. hopefully now they can get the roads clear, so we can leave the house!

snow day!

jack's daycare center was closed today, due to ARTIC BLAST 2008! we have about 4 inches of snow in seattle, and the city is in lockdown. mike made it to work today, but he drives the range rover now...my car stand little chance in the ice and snow.

i know everyone back home is laughing at us, and yes it's true...we have become winter wimps. i must say, i lived in northern michigan for 25 years, and never once got snowed in. this is a little ridiculous.

i have to warn everyone that UPS/FedEx/USPS has had limited delivery access here. we may not receive any packages until the weather warms up, and melts the ice hill leading to our neighborhood. so, not only will we not receive things that you have sent us...i have not received your gifts that i ordered, and will not be able to send them off to you until early next week (most likely). this really bums me out, but i'm trying not to let it sour my christmas mood.

hope you are all having a great winter, and a happy holiday season!!

XOXO

Getting ready for our day...

this morning.

it's definitely more of a challenge getting jack and i up, fed, bathed, dressed, bags packed, and out the door in the morning now. he's moving. EVERYWHERE. i spend most of my morning redirecting him, and keeping him happy while trying to find socks and apply mascara. makes for quite the comedy routine most days.

sorry blog pictures and videos have been few and far between. we've all been sick. started with me, worked it's way to jack, and now mike's dealing with it. jack has also been teething (my personal favorite) and generally not feeling all that great.

his first thanksgiving wasn't much to report...and i'm not sure we even took any pictures. i barely made it out of bed.

i promise to pick up the slack here in the next few holiday weeks, and go overboard on pictures. really looking forward to getting our tree this weekend!

love to you all!
