jack's first trip to the zoo!
jack took his first trip to the zoo on sunday. he seemed to enjoy it. we had to buy him a cheesy hat from the gift shop, because we are bad parents and forgot his at home. anyways, the hat was about 2 sizes too small, and incredibly dorky. i will use this picture to torture him in front of his first girlfriend.
in other news, jack had his 4 month check-up on friday. as of then, he weighed 13lbs 14oz. so...he has officially doubled in weight. he is 24.5 inches tall, and starting to grow out of alot of his 3 month clothes.
he's doing great. holding his head up, sitting pretty well with support, and rolling over. and by rolling over, i mean starting on his stomach, tipping over onto his side, and then finally flopping onto his back. he's practically a gymnast!
update: his favorite thing to do is look at himself in the mirror. i wonder who he gets that from???
miss you all, and see some of you in a few weeks!!

Boston
Our flight got screwed up, so we're extending our vacation for a few
days in boston. We're walking the freedom trail from start to finish,
which is something I've never done. Happy birthday America!

Funny Story
So, Jack's first time at the airport on the way to Maine...we just
went through security, and we were putting our shoes on and stuff, and
a couple of flight attendants came over and started fussing over Jack,
saying how cute he was, you know, the usual reaction. One of them
asked what his name was, and Ali replied that his name was Jack.

"Oh! Hi...(long pause)...Jack!"
She then looked at us and said, "we have to be really careful with the
name Jack...we can't say it too fast."
I couldn't figure out what she was talking about until Ali explained
that airline employees probably weren't supposed to be hanging around
security saying "hijack" out loud.
We're still in Maine, really enjoying the quiet. Its nice to wake up
to the sound of the ocean instead of sirens and busses and motorcycles
and stuff. Back home tomorrow. See you all soon!
